Menthol shower tabs

My brother was visiting last weekend, and saw me making my first batch of cold process soap. We were talking about the fizzy bath bombs I was preparing to make, and he wondered if you could make those expensive sinus-clearing shower tablets at home. He complains about always being stuffed up, and says they are a great way to start the day if you shower in the mornings. We turned to our trusty internet search engines to see if we could make some for ourselves. The blog Frugal by Choice, Cheap by Necessity seemed to have a great recipe, and we tried our hand at making them.

We tried two batches, with slightly different consistencies to see what difference it would make. Neither batch turned out as great as I would have liked. Our expert tester said we had the fragrance spot on, but that the cake dissolved in 8 seconds flat. It looks like I'll have to compare with some other recipes and see if I can't find a more stable formula.
